Cashel House was built in 1840 for Captain Thomas Hazell. Mrs.
Hazell laid out the gardens, which have remained in original
condition since their planting. Many exotic plants were important
from places as far away as Tibet. Lists of the rare trees is
available from the innkeeper. Guided tours of the gardens available
to non-guests. The McEvilly family purchased the house in 1967
and completely refurbished it. Cashel House was opened as a
hotel the following year. The house has been expanded and refurbished
and today includes all en-suite bedrooms with coffee/tea making
facilities, TV and garden views. Some rooms have sea views.
