Glenlo Abbey Hotel is a Georgian manor house built beside Glenlo
Abbey near Galway City. Over the years the original house was
enlarged and expanded and in 1992 was open to the public as
a full service hotel. The grounds encompass 138 acres overlooking
rolling countryside and woodlands. All rooms are en-suite and
offer only the best furnishings and amenities. The grounds consist
of the historic abbey, private gardens, fishing in the lake,
golf, walking and hiking. For something a little different,
guests can enjoy the Pulman Restaurant, which is set up in two
Oriental Express carriages Or for something more elegant, relax
in the River Room in the house for your meal for dining. There
are two lounges on site. The Kentfield Lounge is more elegantly
outfitted and the Oak Cellar Bar which is a traditionally styled
Irish pub that offers live music at the weekends and during
summer months.
Glenlo Abbey Hotel offers unique escapism.
