The Lough Rynn was the ancestral home of the Earls of Leitrim,
who owned ninety-six thousand acres of land across Ireland.
The house dates back nearly 200 years and has been lovingly
cared for throughout its life. While it's really a Victorian
manor house, it has always been called a castle, possibly because
this was the style of castle in that time period. The property,
today, is a melding of periods that include the gothic architecture
of the Victorian manor, French stable yards and contemporary
refurbishment that provide guests with all of the comforts from
home. There are a total of 52 bedrooms on the property, with
fifteen rooms in the main house that are individually decorated
on a medieval theme. The O'Carolan and Celments suites have
been designed to the highest of standards. The Eastern Range
and Estate Managers House have recently opened to include sixteen
guest rooms and are decorated to the same luxurious standard
as the main house. And a further thirty three rooms will open
soon. All bedrooms are en-suite and offer guests superior amenities
as standard. There is a leisure complex on the estate as well
as the world class golf course that was designed by Nick Faldo.
A stay at Lough Rynn is a real treat.
