With so many unique and interesting accommodations, it's hard
to chose one that is "the one" that's a must stay.
But Abbey House is right up there with the best of them. This
is a Victorian country house that has been lovingly cared for.
Rooms are quaintly decorated and most are en-suite. Coffee/tea
making facilities, TV, hair dryers available. Breakfast served
in the dining room amongst ornate period furnishings. The house
is full of period antiques. Private on-site parking. And the
guest gardens include the ancient Boyle Abbey beside the house.
In fact, outbuilding on the property have been built directly
onto the back wall of the abbey. Some of these outbuildings
have been converted into self-catering apartments that are rented
by the week and maintain the same quality of decor as the main
house.
This is truly one of Ireland's gems.
