The Castle at Castletownshend is a unique property as far as
Irish castles go. This is an 18th century manor house built
on the grounds of a former castle and is set in the tiny hamlet
of Castletownshend in west County Cork. The castle overlooks
Castlehaven Harbour where fishing and trapping is still done
today. All rooms are en-suite and most rooms have sea views.
There is a guest lounge available with TV and coffee/tea facilities.
Breakfast is in an elegant dining room. Antiques throughout
the house. And there are private gardens available for guests,
and a small beach at low tide. Guest parking available. Walk
to the village.
Self-catering available in the castle and on the grounds. Two
apartments in the castle and three terrace cottages on the grounds,
all decorated country style. Enquire for rates and availability.
Forget work, responsibility and the big city and stay in The
Castle. This accommodation offers relaxed luxury and a chance
to stay in a historic property.
